Some more great design inspiration from the design site Share Some Candy (I’ve raved about this site before, if you haven’t checked it out yet do yourself a favour www.sharesomecandy.com.au) its a great showcase for up and coming talent in almost every creative feld you could think of!
My fav. section is the illustrations, but there also ample creative inspiration to be found in the graffiti art, furniture, architecture, typography and packaging sections.

More innovative packaging design inspiring the design team – check out these innovative perfume bottles!!! Alexa Lixfeld is the creator of this product, I love the earthy, textural lids – would love to see them used for nail polish bottles, teamed up with some hot new coloured polish – watermelon orange please!

This Christmas (yes i know it seems like a millenium ago!) i was given some MOR bath products, Blood Orange Sicilian Soap and Body Lotion. What i loved most about this gift was the packaging, Ive never seen such lushness, with raised metallic, embossing, ribbon, rubber stamping, too gorgeous to throw away (infact the soap and cream are long gone but Ive kept the packaging!! Delicious! MOR is a Melbourne based company but their products stock the shelves of some of the big name internation stores, the likes of Saks NYC, Selfridges and Harrods London. Do yourself a favour and try this product, i love it!

How lucky are we to have a design book shop so close to where we work. It is lovely to pop in to browse, not just graphic design books but books from all design disciplines. As a graphic designer we are constantly on the prowl for inspiration… so look no further than published art.
The staff are friendly and know their stuff and well once you have made a purchase or two there are several great cafes just nearby to soak up the newly purchase book over a late. So if in the area and if you love design then do check it out.
Also they have some great kids books as well. So for me… even more perfect.
