A sneaky splash of colour can take a design from being ‘uh yeah, it’s alright’ to being ‘whoah, groovy!’ in no time at all.

Just got back from the Island of the Gods last week; sandy white beaches, 26 degree balmy nights, aqua water that you can stand waist deep in and still see your toes, seafood BBQs every night, techni-coloured coral reefs, coconut palms as far as the eye can see… you get the picture.
I saw so many beautiful things that have refreshed and renewed my creative fires, and pressed my re-boot button for the rest of the year. Here’s my favourite photo taken on Lembongan Island with my Iphone and with Instagram. Its of my son Luca and my partner Flavio, I love it because it sums up everything about that beautiful place … HAPPINESS!

Working with colour can sometimes be a bit tricky. Finding colours that work together is so important to create the right mood in any project, be it in what we design here at Fresco to painting the walls in your home! I’ve found this great site, Design Seeds, which has hundreds of beautiful colour palettes, all taken from everyday objects. Click here to be inspired.

How cool is this? These are concepts for a pen that can change colour! The idea is that you scan an object and then ink cartridges within the pen mix the matching colour and hey presto, a differently coloured ink whenever you fancy!
