Those who known me, know that I grew up in Adelaide staying until my early twenties (yes many moons ago). I have always been proud of the creative design scene down south, for a small city it has so many talented creatives it can make your head spin, The Jam Factory and the wonderful fashion store Miss Glady Sym Choon amongst my favorites.
So it was with much delight that i discovered more wonderful design talent from my hometown. Fete (http://fetepress.com.au/) have created an inspirational online Magazine all about putting on a great party for friends and family. Anything from your 2 year old’s birthday party, to a teenagers pool party through to a sophisticated wedding is covered. Its a free bi monthly publication dripping with gorgeous photography and inspirational editorial. The design is lovely and the styling magical, I came away from the site with lots of grand ideas for my next partaaaay …. Don’t take my word for it check it out for yourself.

Whilst Australia is lacking the iconic FrancFranc stores we are still allowed to ogle over their slick and contemporary designs online.
Apparently there will soon be a flurry of new FrancFranc stores across Asia, all with the signature style of Yasumichi Morita, the head designer who also occupies a seat on the Board. Hopefully that mean Australia too.
Here are some pictures of their latest shop in Hakata (Japan), which opened last month. It’s located within Canal City East, a new shopping complex where it will be standing alongside the likes of H&M, Zara, Uniqlo and others.
Bit different to our Harris Farm store styling!

Those of you who have been following Fresco’s Blogs know how much i love and admire Louise Hawson and her creative photographic adventure around Sydney’s un-famous suburbs … finding the beauty in the burbs. Well now Louise wants to go global and is hoping to raise 20k so she can visit cities like Paris, London, New York and Tokyo, bypass all the postcard sites and explore the real heart and pulse of these places as she did with her Sydney project. Fresco will be pledging $100, show you support visit this link and donate whatever you can, her work is wonderful and this project sounds fantastic and really inspiring …

There are so many things we Fresco-ites love about working in Surry Hills; the creative vibe, great cafe culture, fantastic shopping and most definitely number one would be the pleasure of working opposite Vini Enoteca Wine and Italian Food Bar! Now Andrew Cibej has opened the delightful hole in the wall 121BC Cantina and Enoteca just around the corner. Its our little bit of Melbourne laneway drinking near our very own Holt Street and we love it.
Situated in the alley way facing Vini, this Cantina sells wine from all over the boot of Italy and with 100ml pours this means you can travel all over Italy via your taste buds! Like Vini the mood is dark, classy and European cool, and the food is just as wonderful with the emphasis on something delicious to nibble whilst sampling Italian wines.
Next time you come to visit the design studio make sure you pop in for a quick glass of Montepulciano and Veal Carpaccio with Pickled Mushroom. Yum!
