Bankstown Sports Club has always produced a monthly magazine exclusively for its members and guests. When the club underwent a full re-brand, the marketing team made the decision to revolutionise the magazine bringing it in line with the club’s new image.
The Bankstown Marketing Team approached Fresco to take on the task of updating the magazine’s look and feel. We developed a new look that lifts the magazine’s friendly casual style, making it crisper and easier to read. At the same time however we were sensitive to the Clubs existing clientele and strove to ensure they were not disenfranchised by the brand evolution.
The introduction of vertical pull quotes breaks up the text, while giving readers a quick snapshot of the major focus of each story. The masthead was also reworked slightly to put more emphasis on the magazine’s title while still retaining the Bankstown Sports Club branding. New headline pointers were introduced to the cover to tempt the reader to open up and explore what’s inside.
InTouch reaches about 55,000 readers of all ages and backgrounds, particularly families, so the new cleaner, modern design is sympathetic to a wide range of ages and tastes. The end result was Bankstown Sports InTouch, a bi-annual magazine showcasing the club’s facilities, achievements and promotions.
In addition Fresco are proud to design a complete range of material for the club from posters, advertising, direct marketing and their monthly Entertainment Guide.
