Having developed the illustrative style for Harris Farm, Fresco set to work applying the new branding to the newest Harris Farm stores in the form of huge wall panels. Each wall of the supermarket was up to 27 metres long and each illustrative section corresponded with the product available below. They contained over 50 hand-drawn illustrations of fruit, vegetables, dairy products, animals and plants. We worked with the client to develop an informative and historically accurate array of facts about each illustrated fruit or vegetable and it’s introduction to Australia, to reflect the Harris family’s interest in quality produce and Australia’s rich cultural heritage.
The panels also outline common uses and interesting and little-known facts about fresh produce. For example, that lemon trees from Cape Town, South Africa, were brought to Australia in 1788 on the ships of the First Fleet and were planted within days of arrival. The Lisbon lemon was introduced to Australia in 1824 from Portugal but then varieties of this popular lemon were later exported to California where it was referred to as the “Australian” lemon. The client was impressed with the impact the new panels had on the in store customer experience and designing them for one store lead to the next!
“Fresco Creative […] has proven to be very organised and their attention to detail and high level of service ensures that all our deadlines are met.
Based on the relationship we have built over the years we decided to entrust Fresco with our advertising rejuvenation. We needed to bring our image up to the same high standard as our service and product. We were thrilled with the result; Fresco interpreted our brief with creativity and expertise.
We would recommend them to anyone looking for an agency to handle their advertising and media buying and look forward to a long and successful relationship.”
