Printed newsletters can create fantastic cut-through in the digital age. With email inboxes overflowing and some customers uncomfortable with using technology on a regular basis – having a concise, well-designed newsletter in your hands can really say “we get you”. We often create A4 or square newsletters that can crash-fold to DL for easy mailing and letterbox insertion.
For companies that have an audience with a very wide age range, we sometime suggest a combination of printed and digital newsletters. We create a physical, printed newsletter which is mailed to some targeted recipients then the design is converted to a PDF flip-book on ISSUU (an online magazine reading platform) or uploaded to their website. Some clients also populate a Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor template that we have designed and set up for them. They populate it with all the stories from the printed newsletter… and each story preview/snippet clicks through to a “News” section on their website to drive traffic in a way that can be monitored and qualified.
We find that communicating via a printed newsletter can be invaluable for organisations like not-for-profits that are responsible for distributing donations and resources in a thoughtful, timely and diligent way. Newsletters say, look at all the great things we’re doing!
Clients also share the stories from their newsletter as part of their social media stagey to reach a broader audience – sharing ISSUU story extracts from uploaded newsletters OR stories they have set up for the News section of their website. Talking to your customers more builds trust and improves your reputation! Give us a call on 02 8116 9033 or email enquiries@frescocreative.com.au to request a quote for your next newsletter project.
Our Work
Fresco have designed newsletters for Royal Rehab Private Hospital and MetroRehab that can be printed as a saddle-stitched or roll-folded to A4 or fully digitised, depending on their audience. We have also created and produced a disability services newsletter off the back of a comprehensive advertising campaign, which was printed and also distributed online.
For the last five years, we have worked very closely with NSW Police Legacy. We regularly produce newsletters which tie-in with the News section of their website and are then converted to MailChimp eNewsletters. These square newsletters look great and crash-fold to DL for easy postage and letterbox insertion. Their audience includes a number of elderly people who engage well with physical, posted newsletters.
“Fresco are completely brilliant at turning a rough brief into a shiny project. They get it. They deliver. And they’re professional, friendly, and fun to work with. What more could you want?” – Tim, NSW Police Legacy
The Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation (POWHF) is a not-for-profit organisation that fundraises to support the work of The Prince of Wales Hospital. We managed a full brand refresh a couple of years ago and since then have prepared a range of branded collateral including their bi-monthly newsletter ‘Saving Lives’. The printed newsletter is offered at the hospital, mailed to regular givers and uploaded to their website for quick reference and download.
