Fresco has assisted UNSW with a wide variety of design projects for multiple departments such as UNSW Institute of Languages publications, student yearbooks, Open Day signage, UNSW Aviation publications and special event collateral for occasions such as the retirement of the Vice-Chancellor Fred Hilmer. We also helped the Media and Communications department to restyle UNSW’s flagship magazine, Uniken. The publication reports on issues affecting the tertiary education sector and the latest developments in UNSW’s research and teaching. The 24-page magazine has a print run of 6,000 and is distributed primarily to staff, students and visitors to the University. It is also read by journalists, politicians and other stakeholders. The brief required the design to be fresh with a clean and contemporary creative tone. They wanted a publication with intuitive navigation, easy to read articles and a look and feel that matched the sophistication and quality of the content of the magazine. In addition to the design Fresco also looks after the print management ensuring timely delivery with second to none print quality.
“The team at Fresco were super responsive and realistic when we needed a redesign. They listened to our brief and delivered. Andrea has been a delight to work with; professional, friendly, creative and a great collaborator on ideas.
“Louise and Andrea were a pleasure to work with on UNSW’s annual report. As a new communications team, we relied on their experience and knowledge with producing publications and working with our stakeholders. We worked well as a team, often in stressful circumstances with competing, short deadlines. Andrea in particular was diligent, professional and hard-working and we really appreciated all the effort she put into making the team’s first report a success.”
